CHERRY HILL, N.J. (AP) - Authorities in southern New Jersey have identified the man killed in a building collapse.

The Camden County prosecutor’s office says 38-year-old Jose Ortega of Camden was killed instantly in the accident.

The building on Route 38 in Cherry Hill, a former Blockbuster video store, was abandoned and being demolished.

The collapse occurred at about 12:30 p.m. Friday. Two other workers at the site were uninjured, including a person who was operating a backhoe.

Emergency officials said the building was about 99 percent demolished at the time the accident happened.
