MONROE, N.C. (AP) - Divers have recovered the body of a North Carolina teenager who drowned while fishing with his grandfather.

Monroe firefighters pulled recovered the remains on Saturday morning in the area where the teen fell into the water at Lake Twitty. Authorities identified the victim as 18-year-old Malique Streater, who went missing on Thursday.

EMS pronounced Streater dead once the body was brought to shore. Authorities say a medical issue, possibly a seizure, caused him to fall from the boat while fishing near the lake’s dam.

Streater was a rising senior at Forest Hill High School in Marshville.
