ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Federal and local authorities are searching for an armed suspect in an Albuquerque bank robbery.

FBI spokesman Frank Fisher says a man entered a Bank of the West branch around 9:15 a.m. Friday with a semi-automatic handgun.

Witnesses say the suspect demanded money from a teller.

He then allegedly left the bank with an undisclosed sum and got into a waiting vehicle in an alley behind the bank that was being driven by another person.

The suspect is described as black with green eyes and with a slender build. He was wearing a blue bandanna over his face, a black hoodie, white latex gloves and dark pants.

Police say he also has a tattoo under his left eye.

The vehicle is described as a gray Nissan Altima.
