GREENVILLE, Miss. (AP) - The city of Greenville has received a $3.4 million federal grant for work at the Mid-Delta Airport.

U.S. Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., says in a news release the funds will be used to acquire aircraft rescue and a fire fighting vehicle, along with rehabilitating a taxiway, and to conduct wildlife hazard assessments.

Thompson says the grant came from the U.S. Department of Transportation.
