HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Police in Huntsville say a drunken fight between two brothers turned violent and sent both to the hospital.

Al.com reports (https://bit.ly/1m7oovu ) that officers responded after receiving multiple 911 calls around 7:30 p.m. Friday. The officers said both men were “extremely intoxicated” and were bleeding from multiple cuts on their arms and legs.

Both men were taken to Huntsville Hospital, but police say their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Neither brother was arrested.

Police say they believe the brothers, whose names were not released, were arguing when one attacked the other with a kitchen knife. Only one had a knife when police arrived, and officers were still investigating how both were cut.

Police believe the argument may have been related to the brothers’ father’s recent death.
