ENGLEWOOD, N.J. (AP) - Two suspected bank robbers are in custody in northern New Jersey thanks to the courageous actions of a bank manager.

The unidentified manager was working at a Chase bank branch in Englewood on Friday when one of the robbers passed a note to a teller demanding money.

When the man left the bank, the manager followed him for two blocks and watched him get into a red Nissan Altima.

The manager gave police a description of the suspect and car, and police eventually caught two men on Route 4 in Paramus.

Michael Hall and Clarence Jones, both of Paterson, are being held in Bergen County jail on $500,000 bail.

Englewood police Detective Captain Timothy Torell tells The Record (https://bit.ly/1ijhaFr) that the manager’s actions were “very courageous and dedicated.”
