OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Omaha fire officials are offering a few tips on staying cool in the heat for those attending the College World Series.

The department says baseball fans - and others outside in temperatures in the mid-80s and higher - should drink more fluids than usual and avoid very cold drinks or those with alcohol and high amounts of sugar.

Officials also recommend wearing light-colored, loose-fitting clothing and staying in the shade, if possible.

No people or pets should ever be left in a closed, parked vehicle on a warm day.

Officials say those at greater risk for heat-related illness are infants and young children, those over the age of 65 and people who are already ill.
