GLIDDEN, Iowa (AP) - A criminal complaint says DNA evidence led to the arrest of a man suspected in death of a mother and her son in western Iowa.

Fifty-three-year-old Thomas Henderson, of Lake City, was arrested Thursday and charged Friday with murder. He is accused of killing 48-year-old Tammie Lee Devore and her 30-year-old son, Karl Allen Devore. Their bodies were found in their Glidden mobile home on May 18.

The Des Moines Register reports (https://dmreg.co/UYG5DJ ) that investigators found a knife blade, a black knife handle and a knife labeled “Yoshiblade” at the crime scene.

Investigators say DNA found on the knife and handle belonged to Henderson.

Henderson is being held without bond at the Carroll County Jail.
