LANCASTER, Pa. (AP) - Lancaster Police say a 13-year-old boy stole a vehicle, fled from police and ran away before being arrested.

Lancaster Newspapers reported Saturday (https://bit.ly/1lI7K5i ) that the boy was found less than an hour after the foot chase began Friday morning.

Police tell the paper an officer tried to stop the vehicle after the unnamed boy allegedly ran a stop sign.

The boy faces charges of receiving stolen property, fleeing police, theft by unlawful taking and theft of a motor vehicle.

A passenger, 18-year-old Jewels Diamond Pilgrim, was charged with receiving stolen property and possession of marijuana. Court records didn’t list an attorney for Pilgrim.
