CORINTH, Miss. (AP) - The American Red Cross of Northeast Mississippi plans to open an office in Corinth.

Spokeswoman Patty Tucker tells WTVA-TV (https://bit.ly/UclTxF) the office would be at Corinth City Hall.

The Red Cross plans to use the office as a place to meet with people who need the organization’s services. It would operate on an appointment-only basis.

The Corinth chapter of the Red Cross ceased operations in 2006 after financial problems.
