RICHWOOD, La. (AP) - The Richwood Board of Aldermen has refused to introduce the 2015 fiscal year budget prepared by fiscal administrator Jonald (JAH’-nahld) Walker.

The News-Star reports (https://tnsne.ws/1lG2YXy ) that some aldermen are saying Walker doesn’t communicate with them about financial matters.

The town’s budget must be approved by July 1. All five aldermen voted Thursday against introducing the 2015 fiscal year budget saying they have questions that remain unanswered.

Alderwoman Margie Davis said aldermen saw the budget for the first time Wednesday.

Walker did not attend last week’s meeting.

Walker is a certified public accountant from Lake Charles. A state judge appointed him to oversee Richwood’s finances last year on the recommendation of state officials. The appointment came after a state auditor found the town was more than $600,000 in debt.
