BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Vermont police say two officers were treated for minor injuries after apprehending and charging a 21-year-old man with domestic violence.

Burlington police say a woman called police at about 7:40 Sunday morning report that her brother, Chad Brown, was attempting to stab her with a knife.

Police arrived to learn Brown had fled into nearby woods. He was soon apprehended with the assistance of a police K9.

Two officers, whose names were not released, were treated for minor injuries and released from the emergency room. The female caller was treated for multiple cuts to her torso.

Brown was charged with first degree aggravated domestic assault. He is being held at the Chittenden Correctional Facility.
