DALLAS (AP) - A 5-year-old autistic boy who wandered off from his family’s home has been found dead in a neighbor’s pond east of Dallas.

Kaufman County Sheriff’s Capt. Fred Klingelberger told the Dallas Morning News (https://bit.ly/1l1tLHK ) that a search for the boy began around 4:30 p.m. Saturday. The boy, whose name was not immediately released, lived in Ables Springs, about 40 miles east of Dallas.

The boy’s body was found at the pond about an hour later. Foul play was not suspected. The Dallas County Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
