FRISCO, Colo. (AP) - Skiers and snowboarders have one last chance to get in a few more runs this season.

Arapahoe Basin ski area is set to end winter operations at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, capping a season that saw more than 440 inches of snow. Adrienne Saia Isaac, a spokeswoman for the resort, tells The Summit Daily (https://bit.ly/1m4ZJHS ) “with all the warm temperatures, this was the last weekend we could squeeze out.”

A-Basin was the first ski area in Colorado to open for the winter season and is typically the last to close. Resort officials extended the season past its initial June 1 closing date. February was the snowiest month for the ski area this season, with more than 90 inches of powder.
