CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Authorities say a young man’s body was found stabbed to death in Lebanon, Maine, about 20 miles north from where an 18-year-old man was reported missing Saturday.

New Hampshire law enforcement officials announced both the report of the missing teen and the body that was found in Maine. They said that a definitive identification of the victim is expected early this week, but that no other information on the victim’s identity was available.

The New Hampshire Attorney General’s office says that the Madbury Police Department received a report about the missing teen from his parent Saturday morning.

WMUR-TV reported that New Hampshire state police returned to the missing teen’s home Sunday to gather evidence.

Officials say New Hampshire and Maine law enforcement officers are working together.
