FRISCO, Colo. (AP) - Authorities say a 27-year-old man was killed when he was hit by a car as he ran across a highway near Silverthorne.

The Summit Daily reports (https://bit.ly/T1qTDW ) Thomas Vigil, of Northglenn, was hit on Highway 9 north of the city at about 11:45 p.m. Friday. The Colorado State Patrol says the driver, whose name has not been released, was not injured.

Investigators do not believe the driver was impaired by alcohol or drugs at the time of the crash. No charges are expected.
