ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - St. Paul police say they are investigating after a woman’s body was found wrapped in a blanket in a wooded area near Minnehaha Avenue.

Police say they responded to the woods after they got a call about 9 p.m. Saturday about a possible dead baby in the area. Police Sgt. Paul Paulos says the body is not that of a baby, but an adult female.

The woman’s age and identity haven’t been released. Investigators are looking into whether the body matches any active missing person cases.

Police suspect foul play was involved.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports police are seeking the public’s help as they try to find out what happened, and locate a suspect.
