NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Police have identified a New Jersey man who was killed in a crash earlier this week in the Lincoln Tunnel.

Port Authority of New York and New Jersey police spokesman Joe Pentangelo says the victim has been identified as 57-year-old Christopher Rallo of Mine Hill.

Police say Rallo was driving a Ford box truck around 5:15 a.m. on Thursday when he struck the south tube wall of the Lincoln Tunnel and then struck the rear of a vehicle driven by two Port Authority tunnel and bridge agents.

Pentangelo says emergency responders performed CPR on Rallo, who was later pronounced dead at Manhattan’s Roosevelt Hospital at 6:33 a.m. Thursday.

One of the Port Authority employees was also taken to the hospital for non-life- threatening injuries.
