AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Investigators say 10 people have been hurt in a five-vehicle collision at a Central Texas intersection.

Austin-Travis County EMS reports the accident happened Sunday night in southwest Austin. Investigators are trying to determine what led to the crashes.

Emergency responders transported six people to hospitals, with several of those victims suffering potentially life-threatening injuries. Authorities say four other injured people were checked at the scene and refused additional treatment.

Names of the injured and further details on their conditions were not immediately available Monday.
