LOS ANGELES (AP) - Southern California firefighters have contained 30 percent of a 150-acre brush fire in the hills above Glendale.

Glendale spokesman Dan Bell says no homes or structures are in danger Monday, and no evacuations have been ordered.

Firefighters from several agencies are on the lines of the fire in canyons above the city. Crews used a bulldozer from the city of Los Angeles to dig a perimeter around the fire during the night.

The fire started shortly after noon Sunday near Glendale’s Brand Park. Three hikers were flown out of the area and firefighters helped two other hikers walk out.
