STOWE, Vt. (AP) - An injured hiker is recovering after being stranded with a friend at Smugglers Notch over the weekend.

Police said the two hikers were stranded near Route 108 in Cambridge.

Doug Veliko of Stowe Mountain Rescue tells WCAX-TV (https://bit.ly/1yEtIMo) the injured hiker had fallen about 150 feet onto a ledge and was airlifted to a hospital early Sunday.

The hiker’s name and condition weren’t immediately known.
