HINGHAM, Mass. (AP) - Authorities say Brockton’s interim police chief has been hit by a car while riding his bicycle in Hingham.
The Brockton Enterprise reports (bit.ly/1nw1drj) that Robert Hayden was struck around 3:50 p.m. Sunday on Hull Street. He was taken to South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, where officials declined to disclose his condition.
The 71-year-old Hayden, who lives in Hingham, has been interim police chief in Brockton since Feb. 1.
Hingham Police Sgt. Seven Dearth says the accident is being investigated and no charges have been filed.
