GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Authorities say a 44-year-old woman whose body was found south of Emma died of hypothermia.

The Pitkin County Coroner’s Office released its finding Monday in the death of Claudia Ruiz, whose body was found by a rancher May 23.

The Glenwood Springs Post Independent reports (https://bit.ly/1woWP40 ) Ruiz, of Silt, got on a bus in Glenwood Springs on May 17, and surveillance video showed her getting off near El Jebel, several miles from where she was found.

Family members said during the search they were especially concerned because Ruiz, who was found naked, didn’t have medication she needed for a mental condition.
