STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) - A 22-year-old Stamford man is accused of bringing 19 bags of marijuana to a probation meeting at Stamford Superior Court.

Darren Shelley is scheduled to be back at the courthouse Monday on a charge of possession with intent to sell.

The Stamford Advocate reports (https://bit.ly/1l38tJR ) Shelly was arrested on June 9 after his probation officer noticed an odor of marijuana.

Shelly allegedly told the officer he wasn’t dumb enough to bring drugs into the courthouse, but the officer decided to have him searched.

Court officials say the pat down turned up the marijuana in his left sock.

Shelly, who was being held in lieu of $5,000 bond, also faces a possible revocation of his probation on charges of risk of injury to a minor.
