KEWASKUM, Wis. (AP) - Family, friends, teachers and neighbors gathered at Kewaskum (kee-WAH’-skum) High School to remember two young men killed in a car accident last week.

The deaths of the 16-year-old friends, Travis Trapp and Brent Schultz, have been hard to take for the small community of about 4,000. The teens died last Wednesday when their car crashed into a sheriff’s squad on Highway H.

The teens’ classmates on Sunday remembered them as fun-loving and warm people. Student Brad Fetcher tells WTMJ-TV (https://bit.ly/1lL4yaC ) the loss of young friends gets harder and harder each time. Just a few miles away, three teenage girls from Campbellsport High School were killed in a crash in 2012.

The Trapp family will hold a private funeral for Travis. Brent’s funeral is Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dundee.
