ATLANTA (AP) - Atlanta police are investigating the stabbing death of a woman found in front of a house in southwest Atlanta.

Police said the body was found early Sunday morning at the residence on Mims Street. Police said the woman had been stabbed several times in the torso. The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office identified her as 51-year-old Phyllis Frazier.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (https://on-ajc.com/1m4f3A5) that a newspaper carrier discovered Frazier’s body around 3:15 a.m. Sunday, after the worker noticed a high heel shoe in the street when returning to her car after delivering a paper.

Police said in a statement that the investigation “is active and ongoing.”
