SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A South Dakota woman has been sentenced for stealing prescription drugs from an Indian Health Services hospital where she worked.

Thirty-eight-year-old Bonnie Levy pleaded guilty in March to one count of theft in connection with health care.

Authorities say Levy began working at the hospital in Rosebud in March 2013 and used her position to obtain morphine and Benadryl for her own use.

Levy was sentenced to 18 months of probation.
