CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Two Charleston men have been arrested after opposing groups of friends and family fought outside the courthouse following sentencing in a murder case.

Officials say the men were arrested Tuesday after a Marmet woman was sentenced to prison for her role in a murder.

The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office says 36-year-old Anthony Bryant pushed down a 54-year-old woman, causing a head injury. He was arrested for battery. The woman was treated onsite but didn’t go to the hospital.

Terry Lee Phillips, a 57-year-old, was arrested for obstructing an officer.

Both released on bond.

The scuffle occurred after Kelsey Legg was sentenced to 5-8 years prison for her role in the 2013 murder of Kareem Hunter.

Before the case, at least one person was removed from court for unruly behavior.
