BRIMFIELD, Mass. (AP) - Authorities have released the names of two young brothers killed in a car crash in Brimfield last week.

The Hampden district attorney’s office on Monday announced that 4-year-old Dylan Riel and 1-year-old Jayce Riel were the victims of the crash on Route 20 on Friday. The driver of the car, their aunt, and another 4-year-old child in the vehicle, were hospitalized.

An adult and a child in the other vehicle were also hurt.

Authorities say the vehicle the victims were in was eastbound when it swerved to the right to avoid a truck making a left turn. It hit a guardrail, crossed the centerline, struck an SUV before crashing head-on into the other vehicle.

No charges have been filed and police say alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
