TYLER, Texas (AP) - A couple sought in the killing of a North Texas man whose dismembered body was pulled from a Louisiana lake have been arrested in South Carolina.

Thirty-year-old Brandon Daniels and 25-year-old Damonica Evans were being held Tuesday in the Florence County jail in South Carolina. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports (https://bit.ly/1lNEjjK ) they’re charged with capital murder and aggravated robbery.

The remains of 53-year-old Marion Lee Brown were found May 24 in the lake in Shreveport, Louisiana. Other parts of his body were found earlier rolled in a carpet discarded along an East Texas road.

Authorities say the couple dumped the remains as they traveled to South Carolina, where Daniels has family.

Police say Evans has posed as an escort meeting with clients who were then robbed.

Online jail records did not indicate attorneys for the pair.
