PITTSBURGH (AP) - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is ordering 85 townships and boroughs in Pennsylvania to improve stormwater management.

The EPA says in a Tuesday release that the changes are designed to improve water quality in local streams and the Chesapeake Bay, which is downstream of most of the areas.

The towns receiving the order are in north central and northeastern Pennsylvania. The areas are in Carbon, Centre, Franklin, Lackawanna, Lehigh, Luzerne, Northampton, and Lycoming counties.
