FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) - A Fort Smith man has been sentenced to four years in prison after pleading guilty to charges in a fatal hit-and-run.

The Times Record reports (https://bit.ly/1o0wKVv ) that 31-year-old Jeremy William Casey was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty to failure to stop after an accident with injury or death and misdemeanor negligent homicide in Sebastian County Circuit Court.

Casey was charged in the Dec. 8 death of 48-year-old Richard Cox of Fort Smith.

Casey said nothing when offered an opportunity to speak before being sentenced.
