MADISON, Wis. (AP) - A drunken driving homicide charge has been filed against the driver who crashed into a tree in Dane County and killed his passenger.

Twenty-two-year-old Kurt Laufenberg, of Dane, has been released from jail on $5,000 bond. A criminal complaint says Laufenberg was speeding June 14 before crashing his car in the Town of Berry. Twenty-two-year-old Dylan Lindeman, of Middleton, was killed.

The State Journal (https://bit.ly/1mijEDz ) reports the complaint says Laufenberg told investigators at the hospital that he drank six beers in three hours before getting behind the wheel that night.
