HUNTLEY, Ill. (AP) - Police in northwest suburban Chicago say a hot-air balloon made an emergency landing at an intersection in a subdivision.

Huntley Police Deputy Chief Michael Klunk says it happened Tuesday morning. He says the pilot made the decision to land when heavy winds began blowing the balloon near power lines. Klunk says a witness saw the touch down and called police.

There were no injuries.

Police say the balloon took off from Sky Soaring Glider Club in Hampshire and someone with the club arrived to help.
