CORINTH, Miss. (AP) - Ayrshire Electronics, a full-service electronics manufacturing company, has announced an expansion at its factory in Corinth, Mississippi.

The company, in a news release Monday, says the project represents a $100,000 corporate investment and will create 25 new jobs.

In 2008, Ayrshire acquired the former ACT Electronics’ Corinth plant after ACT announced plans to close it. Ayrshire retained all of ACT’s full-time employees. Monday’s announcement marks the company’s third expansion in Corinth in the past six years.

Louisville, Kentucky-based Ayrshire Electronics is a manufacturer of printed circuit board assemblies and other products.

State officials say the Mississippi Development Authority provided $117,000 for infrastructure improvements to the building and parking lot owned by Alcorn County. Alcorn County provided $13,026 in matching funds.
