BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Emergency crews have recovered the body of a man who was spotted floating face down in Boulder Creek.

Kim Scott, a spokeswoman for the Boulder Fire Department, tells The Daily Camera (https://bit.ly/1l87Led ) the body was spotted in the eastern part of the city at about 1:45 p.m. Tuesday and was recovered a short time later.

Scott says investigators have not recovered any items upstream or downstream from where the body was found to indicate what the man was doing in the water. The victim, whose name and age have not been released, was wearing only underwear when he was found.

Boulder County Sheriff Joe Pelle lifted the tubing ban on the creek Monday, saying water levels had dropped enough to allow recreational use.
