INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The severe weather that has struck the Indianapolis area has left more than 2,500 power customers without service in a second straight day of outages for the region.

Indianapolis Power and Light Co. reports more than 1,700 customers without service after severe thunderstorms pummeled the city Tuesday afternoon. It’s a second straight day of storm-related outages in the city.

Duke Energy reports nearly 800 customers without power in Greenwood, south of Indianapolis. It earlier had reported about 100 outages in Carmel, north of the city.

Authorities say there have been no reports of injuries.

The storms included a tornado that touched down and damaged at least three homes in Hendricks County, just west of Indianapolis.
