PITTSBURGH (AP) - A suspended Pittsburgh Public Schools principal has been sentenced to six months’ house arrest and five years’ probation for making sexual advances toward two men and a teenage boy in a health club’s sauna and showers.

The Pittsburgh Public Schools had suspended 37-year-old Alfonzo DeIuliis (dee-aye-OO’-lis) from his job at Brookline K-8 and spokeswoman Ebony Pugh says the district was in the process of firing him after Tuesday’s sentencing.

The principal had claimed to be innocent and not even at the LA Fitness in suburban McCandless Township during two of the alleged incidents.

But a jury agreed with Allegheny County Assistant District Attorney Kevin Chernosky who argued “the chances that three people come forward making similar allegations just doesn’t happen.”

The alleged incidents occurred between February 2013 and his arrest in August.
