SEATTLE (AP) - The King County sheriff’s deputy accused of promoting his estranged wife’s prostitution, stealing ammunition from the department’s gun range and selling steroids pleaded not guilty Tuesday at his arraignment in Seattle.

The King County Superior Court judge refused a motion to reduce bail for Darrion Holiwell and he remains jailed with bail set at $150,000.

KOMO reports (https://bit.ly/1v2FjA5 ) the judge ordered Holiwell to surrender all 69 guns registered to him, if he does make bail.

The 49-year-old is charged with promoting prostitution, theft and violation of the Uniformed Controlled Substances Act.

A 19-year-veteran and member of the SWAT team, Holiwell was arrested Thursday, and Sheriff John Urquhart (URK’-hart) called the offenses a form of police corruption that he would root out through an internal investigation.
