ATLANTA (AP) - Forecasters say they’re expecting scattered thunderstorms throughout north and central Georgia for most of the week.

National Weather Service forecasters said they’re expecting scattered thunderstorms Tuesday that could produce high winds, heavy rain, frequent lightning and hail.

Forecasters say the threat of daily thunderstorms is expected to continue through early next week.

Meteorologists say some of the storms could be intense and the most serious hazards will be strong wind gusts and frequent lightning.
