BROOKLINE, N.H. (AP) - Firefighters are investigating a fire that destroyed a house and seriously injured one person in Brookline, New Hampshire.

Firefighters tell WMUR-TV (https://bit.ly/1loWrPO) two people were inside when the fire started in the basement Tuesday afternoon. They said a man in the basement was initially trapped, but was rescued and hospitalized in intensive care.

The house is considered a total loss.
