BEAVER CROSSING, Neb. (AP) - Authorities have seized two pounds of heroin following a traffic stop in eastern Nebraska.

The Nebraska State Patrol says a trooper stopped a vehicle Wednesday for allegedly speeding near Beaver Crossing in Seward County. The trooper was given consent to search the vehicle.

The trooper discovered the heroin concealed under the vehicle’s center console. It was contained in three packages.

The driver of the vehicle, 31-year-old Joe T. Bolanos, of King City, California, was taken to the Seward County Jail. He faces a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Court records do not list an attorney.
