BOTHELL, Wash. (AP) - A Bothell police officer was suspended for one day for his involvement in a high-speed pursuit that resulted in a fatal crash in Everett.

Police Chief Carol Cummings said Officer Mark Atterbury should have called off the pursuit earlier.

The discipline was reported by The Daily Herald (https://bit.ly/UQy0kb) after it sought the information through public records law.

The man driving a stolen truck in May 2013, Joseph Strange, fled officers on I-405 and I-5 and collided with a car, killing the driver Rachael Kamin. Strange is charged with murder death for the death and facing trial in October.
