CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - The boyfriend of a missing teacher in North Carolina has been arrested in Chicago on unrelated charges.

The U.S. Marshals Service says Angelo Grayson Smith Jr. was arrested Thursday afternoon on a charge in Charlotte of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Details about those charges were not immediately available.

Investigators say Smith was the last person to see Bianca Tanner before she disappeared. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have classified her disappearance as a homicide. No one has been arrested in her disappearance.

Smith told police that Tanner left their apartment June 7 after an argument.

Smith’s attorney, Kenneth Snow, has said his client was not on the run.

Tanner had moved to Charlotte from Greensboro last month, where she accepted a job with a new education program.
