VICKSBURG, Miss. (AP) - Vicksburg Warren School District trustees have approved a 4 percent increase in the district’s millage rate.

The Vicksburg Post reports (https://bit.ly/1nPOXlH ) the board on Thursday also approved a $77.5 million budget for its 2015 fiscal year that projects a deficit of $4.78 million deficit.

The budget passes on a 2-1 vote, with two board members recusing themselves because family members are employed by the district.
