BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) - Gallatin County officials have released the name of a 48-year-old Bozeman man who was struck and killed by a semitrailer while riding a bicycle on a frontage road near Bozeman.

The coroner’s office says Kevin Patrick O’Brien died at the hospital after the crash on Wednesday morning. He had previously lived in California.

Police say O’Brien was riding his bike eastbound at 6:35 a.m. Wednesday when he swerved into the roadway in front of a semi. Officers say the driver of the semi was unable to avoid hitting him.
