KENT, Wash. (AP) - A 33-year-old Portland man was sentenced Friday to 25 years in prison for killing a rival who was seeing his ex-girlfriend.

William L. “J.R.” Phillip was convicted of murder in April and sentenced Friday at the King County Regional Justice Center in Kent.

Phillip stabbed 41-year-old Seth Frankel to death in May of 2010 at his apartment in Auburn.

Frankel was a video producer for the city of Kent.
