CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - An inmate at Hazelton Federal Correctional Institute has been convicted of assaulting a correctional officer.

Edward C. Crow was convicted Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Clarksburg on three counts stemming from the attack.

The Exponent Telegram (https://bit.ly/UPgtsA ) reports that Crow was found guilty of assaulting a correctional officer resulting in bodily injury, assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to do bodily harm and possession of a prohibited object.

A jury returned the guilty verdicts.

The convictions stem from injuring a guard on separate occasions.
