YUMA, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities in Yuma are investigating the apparent drowning of a 9-year-old boy in a swimming pool of a home up for sale.

Yuma police say officers were dispatched to the house about 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

They say officers found the boy unresponsive in the pool.

He was taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center and later pronounced dead.

The name of the boy hasn’t been released.

Police say nobody was living at the home and it was up for sale.
