CURRITUCK, N.C. (AP) - Law enforcement and emergency personnel in Currituck County are planning to hold an active-shooter drill.

The Virginian-Pilot of Norfolk reports (https://bit.ly/VsdC9I) a statement from the county says first responders will conduct a drill that will happen in three parts, beginning at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m., and then again at 2 p.m.

The event will include county emergency management personnel, the sheriff’s office, EMS, communications employees, volunteer firefighters from multiple units and Community Emergency Response Teams.
